About Me

Professional-wise

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, where I still make my home. I consider myself a photographer, filmmaker and web designer. After graduating high school, I moved immediately into the technology industry. I grew tired of the field after nearly a decade and returned to school to rediscover my love of photography. After school, I worked as a studio photographer for a year when an opportunity to enter the film industry presented itself.

Since beginning in the film industry, I've worked on a number of features, shorts, documentaries and television series. Like everyone else in the field, I'm currently at work on a documentary, as well as any given number of other projects at any given time. I'm almost always available for film or photo work. Feel free to contact me with your project.

Personal-wise

I live in Everett, Washington. It's really okay that you've never heard of Everett; it's fourth-rate-at-best city with no real charm or personality of its own. It is, however, cheap to live in and about a half-hour North of Seattle.

I live with my girlfriend, Betsy... from Iowa (but don't hold it against her -- she's actually a pretty great person and that's not just me saying so because she puts up with the never ending fallout of my issues; everyone loves her to bits and pieces); her neurotic cat, Mr. Mistoffolees; my normal-but-only-really-likes-me-and-to-a-lesser-degree-Betsy cat, Cassabelle; and a mess of gerbils (none of which have names at this particular time). When I'm not making photographs, movies or websites, I'm cooking, reading, watching movies, or thinking about making movies.

Mind you, I'm not the only member of the Mudd family with an artistic bent: My brother is the painter Lamont Mudd who, in 2009 leapt with all his might and enthusiasm into the 1990s and let me build a web site for him and extend the fine family of someone-Mudd-dot-com sites: Lamont Mudd dot com.
